Privacy
Updated 3 October 2026. In plain words: Wielie keeps what it needs to set your targets and show your rides, and nothing more.
What Wielie keeps
- Your name and email, from Apple, Google or your email sign-in.
- Your FTP, weight, units and ride days.
- A summary of each ride: when, how long, power, time on pace and the plan. Also the title, site and icon of the videos you watched, and which film or episode it was when Wielie's catalog knows it.
- The films and series on your list, and the platform you picked for each.
- Plans you save, the groups you're in, your friends, and whether you share what you watch in a group.
- Whether you want emails about what's new, and when you said yes.
What Wielie never does
It doesn't sell your data, show ads or record your screen. It doesn't see the video itself, only its title and length. To tell which film or episode a video is, the page's address is checked against the catalog; the address isn't kept. The camera is only used to read a friend's code or the code your browser shows, and nothing is recorded.
Who helps run it
- Cloudflare hosts the app's server and data.
- Apple and Google handle sign-in and payments. RevenueCat keeps track of your subscription.
- When you ask for a plan, Anthropic's Claude gets the video's length and the kind of ride you picked. No name or email.
- Expo delivers notifications to your phone.
- The catalog of films and series comes from other services (see Credits). None of them learn who you are or what you watch: Wielie asks them about titles, not about riders.
- Better Stack keeps server logs and error reports, so problems get found and fixed. They carry an account number, never your name, email or what you watch.
Your choices
Change anything in the app. Wielie only emails you news if you said yes; every news email has a link to stop them, and so does You → Notifications in the app. Delete your account in the app under You, or at wielie.com/delete. That removes everything; backups are cleared within 30 days.
